Look at that Tim Conway, Jr. maaan

So remember when I wrote this? It’s OK, you don’t have to read it. I’ll just tell you that I predicted this announcement the day Tim Conway, Jr. walked out on that bodcast.

Yep. Tim will be replacing Bryan Suits on KFI 7-10pm starting January 18. Thank God.

I enjoy Bryan Suits as well as Timmy maaan. What was your prob with Suits?
Now if we could just get them to replace Handel all will be well with KFI

I just think he’s mean-spirited and his show is too boring for that time slot. I think his Sunday show is a much better fit for him.

  2. Steve says:

Bryan is great but Tim Conway is much more interesting to listen to. I’m glad Robin made the change.

You are right about Handel. He is becoming such an egotistic, narssitic moron. He thinks he is always right and thinks he is so funny. He is not. Michelle and Hanna are also very annoying. I wish they would go away as well.

I’m thrilled Bryan is going. He wasn’t interesting and the worst part is he couldn’t form cohesive thoughts, or at least express them. He jumped around topics, didn’t seem to have a point to a lot of things, and was generally annoying.

Prior to him I had been spoiled by Ziegler, who was a true radio professional. I understand how some people could be rubbed the wrong way by him, but the truth was he was very good at his job. I don’t think anyone could argue that point.

As for Handel, I still miss Lara. I think the show has gone downhill since she left. (Anyone catch the ‘she who must not be named’ reference from a listener’s email?)

It isn’t that I don’t like Todd / ReTodd, but Handel has gotten to be a bit much … perhaps the 2nd show did too much for his ego. I like Michelle, but also enjoy when Janice fills in because she is so damn funny.

For me, best on the radio is Resnick. Hands down. He fills in tonight on the Sunday ‘guest’ slot… yay!!

    • Michelle says:

Janice is probably the funniest person I have ever met. Lara was an original too, but sometimes things just don’t work out, there’s a lot more to the issue than people know so they just assume why she’s no longer here (and you know what happens when you assume….) She’s a very funny and talented gal, and the right thing will come along for her, I have no doubt.

Timmy will do a great job! He needs a wingman though so if they get Wayne to continue to do the news, I think they’d be great. And maybe, in my perfect world, they’ll have time to bring on Adam Carolla once in a while. When Adam would call in on Fridays to Tim’s show, I loved it. It was a solid hour of those two just yapping away and I thought they were so funny together. Timmy, maaaaaan! You called it!

    • ihearttalkradio says:

I haven’t decided to “call” this one yet but when KFI had Adam on as a tryout, my first thought was a Carolla-Conway evening show!

I heard Bill Handel talking today on his afternoon show about all the Hash he used back in the 60′s.. He was talking like he was proud of it. Bill it was a felony back then. You brag about committing felonies?

I also heard Bill once talk about being wasted on cocaine when he took the bar exam. Again, a felony while you were becoming an officer of the court. Really something to be proud of.

I never once heard him tell people how stupid he was when he was a druggie. I bet his kids are proud of him.

Howard Stern’s side-kick, Artie Lang, just tried to commit suicide because of drug/alcohol use. Bill, quit bragging about your drug use. For God’s sake, grow up.

I will never understand why KFI allows Bill to be so irresponsible…

    • Michelle says:

Bill has talked plenty of times about how stupid he was to do drugs and of the many stupid things he did while on drugs, not to mention it was a huge waste of time and money. And unlike other coke users, Bill didn’t get skinny using coke. So he doesn’t always brag about it. When it comes to hash and pot, he had fun with those drugs…it enabled him to eat more than normal, and he loves to eat.

Bill’s daughters are tempermental hormonal normal teenage girls…and as someone who was one of those I can tell you that they are not proud of him in ANY way. In fact, they’re in the ‘he’s not my father’ stage.

Take a chill pill, relax, no kid is doing drugs because Bill talks about what he used to do…if anything he’s doing a public service, it’s a deterrant….I mean, who wants to end up like Bill?

      • Dave says:

I’m a police officer and I don’t think taking drugs and committing a felony is funny. Obviously you and Bill have a strange sense of humor if you guys think that committing a crime is funny.

I know that lots of people have used illegal drugs but as a public figure you do not glorify it. You keep it to yourself or you speak against it as a former addict.

It would be nice if some radio hosts were decent people instead of being whores who just want ratings.

      • Dave says:

By the way Michelle, how do you know noobody has used drugs from what Bill said. He said that he would have never passed the bar exam if it were not for cocaine. That would seem to intice some poor uneducated person to experiment with drugs to help them when necessary. Don’t make such uninformed statements and take your head out of Bill’s ass.

  6. Michelle says:

Dave….please get over yourself and take a chill pill. You need to R-E-L-A-X and unclench the ass cheeks. I hope you are also emailing other talk shows and while you’re at it the show intervention, which, by showing addicts actually shooting up drugs on television, could be glorifying drugs for somep people.

    • Dave says:

Some people believe in obeying the law and some don’t. It’s obvious you have no moral standards..

      • Michelle says:

You nailed it Dave! I have absolutely no moral standards! Oh man, Dave, you know me so well, even though you’ve never met or talked to me. By the way, feel free to call me in the office 818 566 6425 anytime between 3am-1pm daily, I’d love to discuss your comments about me.

You are really wound tighter than a frog’s ass. B-R-E-A-T-H-E. I hope I never run into you while I’m holding an old lady’s arm to assist her across the crosswalk, you might ticket me for kidnapping or holding her against her will!

      • Dave says:

Michelle made her point. She is pro law breakers and anti law enforcement….By the way it was nice of you to steal Frosty, Heidi and Frank’s idea regarding the apologies at the end of the show. There’s is much funnier and not a rip off.

Also, please take your head out of Bill’s ass and think for yourself. If you and Dick ever have kids I hope you don’t encourage them to do drugs like you seem to be in favor of…

  7. Michelle says:

    Dave

You’re obviously not familiar with sarcasm. For a police officer, you seem to be slightly cowardly. I didn’t even get a phone call from you today. I guess you don’t like to insult people in person. How do you get I’m pro-law breakers and anti-law enforcement from what I said? You should tell that to the cops I hang out with including the LAPD and O.C. Sheriff officers in my family. Nice try trying to twist my thoughts.

So Heidi, Frosty and Frank do apologies? How would I know that if I’ve never heard them doing them on the show? Since I’m working when they’re on the air, it’s pretty much a given I’m not listening to their show while at work. You usually can’t rip something off without the knowledge that you’re ripping them off. And, are they the only ones who ever done them? I find it hard to believe that they’re the only talk show ever to do them EVER. But I guess you’ve researched every talk show in the nation and found that no one else apologizes…I’ll have to trust you on that one.

Bill’s former Producer Madalyn was doing apologizes on Bill’s show hourly when I started with the show in 1993. I did them for awhile, Dick Cabeza did them, and then Paul T. Wall did them at the end of each until about 1999, when he got sick of doing it. We didn’t do them for a few years after 9/11, but Bill asked to bring them back to the show until 2004, when Bill got in trouble with the Muslim community. So if you think we’re ripping them off, so be it.

So are you saying that Heidi, Frosty and Frank or any of the other shows you listen to NEVER talk about doing drugs, or how much fun they might have had at times while doing them? I find that hard to believe, as well. C’mon Dave, we both know you’re not being honest here. You’re a cop, I expect honesty and morality from you!

With all that said, I’m honored that you at least seem to listen until the end of Bill’s show, thanks for that!

    • Dave says:

Michelle, I understand sarcasm. I’m not that uptight like you suggest. Cops have some of the best sense of humor.

I just don’t like Bill constantly talking about his drug use and how it helped him pass the bar exam and helped him study by staying awake..

A responsible person should NEVER say anything positive about a substance that can destroy somebody’s life. I don’t understand how you and Bill do not get it.

You sound like a nice person but you are obviously kissing up to Bill. If you are talemted you don’t need to kidd up to him. I remember a former producer of his went on to work for Ophra. She did’t kiss up to him every second of the show…

      • Michelle says:

        Dave

If there’s one person who doesn’t kiss up to Bill, trust me, it’s me. You should come and watch the show sometime, then you’d know what kind of person I really am. I may humor him sometimes, but I kiss no one’s ass, especially Bill’s…it’s just not in my nature, and sometimes that pisses him off. An effective and successful producer can’t kiss their host’s ass, it doesn’t do the host any good whatsoever.

I get what you’re saying, however, you’re only villifying Bill and not any of the other people you listen to that have likely said similar things about doing drugs. Plus, you’re totally discounting the times Bill has talked NEGATIVELY about his drug use and how stupid it was. That’s all I’m sayin’.
