I’m sitting in a parking lot

That’s true. I am sitting in a parking lot. Seems like I’ve been spending a lot of time in parking lots lately. (Suzanne – Stop laughing!)

So I’m sitting in a parking lot, MacBook in lap, wishing for WiFi, and listening to The Parent Experiment with Teresa Strasser, Lynette Carolla and Molly Ringwald.

By the way, Suzanne, did you know that Molly Ringwald met her husband online and they corresponded for like a year before they met in person? (Perhaps I shouldn’t be blogging but rather writing to Suzanne directly.)

I was thinking how lucky modern moms are. My son is 10 so I’m kinda past the – how do I get my kid to sleep – phase but I think it’s great that new moms have realistic role models like Teresa and Lynette.

You know…moms who aren’t perfect, but do obsess over things like BPA in plastic water bottles. Like all normal moms do.

(Realizing this post might have been more appropriate yesterday. On Mother’s Day. But I’m a mom. And I was busy yesterday. Buying tank tops and feeding my kid non-organic vending machine potato chips. Shhh…don’t tell Mayim Bialik.)

I don’t get it.

But you know what – I like it. I mean, I know it’s harder to build a podcasting empire when you don’t have Jack Sullivan and Sam Phillips on your side…wait, have those two actually been responsible for any of HotTalkLA’s success?

Looking at the new (old) Pretty Good Podcast website is so nostalgic. And nostalgia is awesome.

Knowing that Randy and Gina and Brian and Crysta (and, fine, the PotCast guys) aren’t hiding behind a pseudo-corporate wall and are back to podcasting old-school style makes the whole thing more personal and intimate.

Just a simple WordPress site, a tip jar, and quality podcasts.

It was an essy deal

Yeah, I was totally surprised that FHF was back live today. With no mention of a “vacation” or any other valid excuse, I can only assume they were suspended.

Add to that numerous mentions of “last time” and “little over a week” and no show this Wednesday (when they’ll be doing a live show at Hooters – but it won’t be aired – weird) and Frank putting his house on the market…

Their firing is imminent.

I miss Frosty already. *sniff*

* I know it’s supposed to be “Web site,” but I hate that. I’m trying to change the acceptable spelling to “website.” Why does Web have to be capitalized? And why two words? Do you really say “web…site?” Or do you say “website” – like a normal person?
