The thing that struck me was that I heard them say that – and didn’t think much of it. When I heard they’d been suspended I had no idea why, and the Whitney Houston statements didn’t come to mind when I tried to think of what they’d said in the last few days that could have gotten them suspended. Not something I’d ever say myself about a living person and even more insensitive to say about someone who recently passed away, but I’m sure J + K have said much worse things that didn’t get them into trouble, but of course I can’t think of any just now.

Phil Hendrie has often made the same point – no matter what the subject matter there are people who are good on the radio (usually from hard work) and I love listening to – Wayne Resnick, Ian Punnet, Jim Rome, all of the main local KFI hosts, and then there are the many more famous people (no names) who are terrible on the radio and hard to listen to because they don’t realize that “just talking” for 3 hrs requires talent, timing, preparation, and lots of other things – it isn’t just running your mouth!

I’m surprised by the quick reaction to Geraldo. Is this mostly due to some of the awful work he’s done on TV? His radio show so far to me has been quite tolerable. Interviewing skills are better than average.

I’m not a fan of John Phillips. Find him shallow and drones on about topics that I can’t accept as truly being his personal dogma. Send him back to McIntyre’s show. He makes a good foil for Doug.

Terri-Rae is way past her expiration date.

Besides Ken and his constant references to nude males and Terri -Rae constantly flubbing the news, the John and Ken show was hardly listenable. John is the only star of that show.

Yes I agree Girth she doesn’t really add much to Doug’s show. I can’t stand Bill Handel in the morning any more, and Peter and Teresa were so so. I was looking forward to Doug in the morning but its just not the same :(
